Re: Thai langauge kindergarten class

Where is suteerak?

Is he shocked to know that there is such a word call "dee arom" ???

"thai2english" is simply the most comprehensive thai langauge site because you can find and make up so many thai words that simply dont exist.

LOL, no... i'm not shocked. i'm just having a very good laugh. very amused that u've made a fool of yourself (like many in the past)... and in using an error to prove your point. LOL.

since someone claims he's got long hair dictionary to counter check, how come he hasnt come back to verify his findings on the sentence "tam mai sia arom, krai tam hai tirak arom sia?"

instead of echoeing like a parrot (talking bird language)... maybe your good self can go check it out with your long hair dictionary as well.

Re: Thai langauge kindergarten class

for those of u speculating if i'm giving lessons... sorry to disappoint u, bt i'm not keen to teach. besides, to learn doesnt depend so much on what is taught, bt the importance lies within the learner's diligence, to acquire what he seeks to learn, as well as to adapt & apply what is being learned.

i'm only doing my part as a forum user to share what i know, whilst there being rebuttals from others who know nothing about what they rebuke. even for a simple issue of the word sia arom or arom sia. jokers r still very insistant that there's only 1 way of using, and no other.

the request for an example to be given, and i gave : "tam mai sia arom, krai tam hai tirak arom sia?" after so many days, coming to a fortnight... still remains a mystery, with which they failed to verify with their own collection of native thai speaking acquaintances or associates.

(or perhaps, they're in denial, refusing to accept that the application of the words as examplified, forms a grammatically correct sentence.)

needless to say, there've been many sprinkles of delightful treats, where a joker making a fool of himself, just to prove a point. highly entertaining i reckon... LOL

what conclusions can we deduce from what's been ongoing here... i believe everyone can discern for themselves.

You all are taking this too seriously lah....

No matter how many Thai words you know, you're just not going to sound like a native Thai. This is Singapore. Even our England and Cheena are screwed up. As long as people understand you, can liao. Why obsess over correct usage?

so now u know sia arom is also an error or u still dont? u assume thai2english can form the word sia arom means its correct? I can't find the word sia arom and dee arom in thai-language.com. Is it because thai-language.com is not comprehensive or something wrong with the way u use thai2english.com?

I have checked with my thai counterpart, a university student who majors in thai language.

You can say sia arom, thai people will understand you. BUT, it's not a proper way or technically correct to say sia arom. It;s just like when u speak broken english in singapore, people can still understand u.

The correct way to phrase your sentence is still

"tammai arom sia" and not "tammai sia arom". regardless u use it in your example or otherwise.

You can still use sia arom and be a laughing stock among thai people (or be a laughing stock among us here).

well, tracing back to how all this came about... a fellow samster here who was seeking for light to be shed on his curiousity. we're all not certain of the word in question, hence there was a little speculation of the word in query.

all i did was merely correspond, and share what i felt could be the word in question. following which, some jokers came along to make a mountain out of a molehill.

out of courtesy, i'm just sharing a little more in context of what has been later corresponded & contested. at the end of the day, its still a good learning process.

LOL. in case u didnt realise... when u check for sia arom, it translate sia & arom seperately, suggests that when the 2 r strung, it results in a negative connotation. while arom sia in itself is a word which translates upset.

if the word never could be made sense of, there wouldnt even be a translation that follows.

Hello,
when you said you are not certain, I gave a correct version on how to use the word which should be Arom Sia.

You are the one who keep blabbing non-stop on the word Sia Arom and said it could be used and whether is it Arom Sia or Sia Arom all could be used.

Then let me ask you is "Fuck you" and "you Fuck" the same or not?
Is "Kan Ni Na Bu Chao Cheeby" and "Chao Cheeby Kan Ni Na Bu" same or not?

It all started because I am the one who corrected you and you buey song because its me who pointed out the mistake just want to prove that you are right. If it is some other samster who did so, you would accept their argument without reply.

And if like what you said in the paragraph above, if you are not certain of the word, accept how people correct the mistake and learn from it, and not keep blabbing non-stop over that both words are same.

If same, then my question back to you again is Arom Dee and Dee Arom same or not? Is there such a usage of Dee Arom?

Actually, there are just too many personal vendetta over here.

The scenario is this, someone ask, Cat40 is thai girl or china girl.

this bugger says is china girl. If you correct him and say is thai girl, probably he will apologise and say you are right.

If I correct him and say is cat40 is thai girls, he will come and argue "No lah" this and that maybe saying the girl is china girl but know speak thai whatever fuck, go 1 big round, just because I am the one who reply.

**Its like recently there was a worldwide survey being done on mcdonald's burgers. The same cheeseburger. One being wrapped in normal without mcdonald's labelling and the other being wrapped in Mcdonald's wrapper. The same burgers were distributed to children and most said the one in Mcdonald's wrapper taste better while the one in normal wrapping doesn't take so good.

If next time I give you the answer and you reply on my behalf, you think this sucheeby1099 will come and rebuke?

I was also wondering if i can say jai sia (instead of sia jai). look what I found http://thai2english.com/trans.html?query_id=29774

Does the word jai sia make sense to you? if the word never could be made sense of, why would there even be a translation that follows????

It's REALLY unfortunate that you have used the translation and transliteration beyond what it's really meant to be, a translation facility.

people got thai peers, u also got thai peers. i have thai grad in thai major,u also have.

now u are saying this word can be used. did u ask your thai uni grad if it's a correct or proper word in the thai language? If she was to form the sentence given by you in the correct manner, would she have written it down as tammai sia arom or tammai arom sia? did u ask her this?
