Indeed, it is a well-oiled dictatorial-democracy system. At least the majority are just moping around that their higher needs aren't met, nevertheless they are well-fed, well-housed and well-fucked (at least in here). We are free to express our views but not to the point where it upsets national security. Taiwan is like a yacht, you can jump around and don't feel a difference. Singapore is different, it is a small country, like an inflatable dinghy. All it takes is for one person to jump around and everyone goes into the water.

Bro Red Tirak. If you can think of betters ways of running this country, you can always put forward your ideas and proposals to your local ward, grassroots or MP. If the govt thinks you are good enough, they might get you place to run in the next GE. If you become a MP or NMP in future, don't forget the bros in SBF.

not sure how n where u got the idea that the majority is living in the condition u pressumed to be.

well fed? - we're factually not experiencing famine only, many middle income folks r munching on bread & drinking tap water so as to give their kids a better head start in life. i've known some doctors who're also adopting bread & tap water diets... given the current circumstances.

well-housed? - paying in full for a roof that is yours for 99yrs, while the home cant accomodate space for the 2nd & 3rd generation, hence requiring them to afford their own 99yr (or less, resale) roof... making it almost impossible for the future generations to inherit anything.

well-f_cked? (literally) that's for sure...

its true that other places have corruption, but corruption only takes place between the 2 parties; the 1 bribing, the 1 receiving the bribe. here, regardless u're doing anything disreputable or not, u're paying the "protection" $... whether u like it or not.

i think there's no need to worry too much for the 66.6% lah... as long as the 33.3% have their own plans & means... its good enough.

It is not true.not all 66.6% think that way.some of the 66.6% do not even have a chance to vote due to the constant shifting of the electoral boundaries.some of them believe that their votes will be known to the powers that be and therefore voted out of fear.

I agree with you on this point.there is corruption everywhere.i read in the papers once.they interviewed this thai man on the street,his reply was thoroughly truthful.he said:"all governments are corrupted.it only depends on how smart the government is at keeping the people happy."
