Japanese customers, used to be easygoing but now with their Yen so weak, they rather go for more affordable options Viet & Thais. Also bcos of 60$ options for Thais, many customers are walk away once they see PRC is 100$

Of course, cheaper options in JB and more accessible "spa centres" in HDB shops, Telegram have also shifted much biz away. WLs cannot believe such competition exist cos SG like so strict on everything.

Even for weekends and PHs peak hours, all WLs can be sitting there for 2 hours without a single customer. Lots of people coming to just take a look, but no takers. I was sitting there near the counter for around 30 mins to observe the people coming in while chatting with the counter guy.

The boss of 16XX was apparently not that interested in doing 30 mins sessions but was eventually gave in cos people committing straightaway to 200$/60 mins are getting lesser.
His assistant had to convinced him that the legal GL biz is no longer the same before covid. In the assistant own words, the quality of today PRC WLs is no longer "that good" compared to the past where they may have one or two very high quality WL in terms of everything. Compounded with non GL options, if still don change, house will even get more quieter

WL daily sales: She is not a AP but I think she is quite decent in her services and looks. She say work 12 hours but maybe 3-5 customers with 1 hrs sessions and that is not bad already. Extension of session is also not that common in her words.
Counter guy also say year end business can be very bad, unavoidable cos of gifting, year end holiday, family man and etc.

Some customers always get the misunderstanding that she have a lot of bookings cos they don’t see her around. It is just that when the guy come in for 10 sec, keep quiet and walk out without asking whether she is free or not. Then they form the wrong perception already. In reality, WLs are just in the toilet or step away awhile to do some misc. matters or preparing herself for the next customer.

WL IDs: Not sure how true but their only IDs are their passport and Yellow Card (both of them are usually kept for safekeeping). Due to IMDA rules, they cannot apply for long-term SIM cards since only got passport (30 days non renewable SIM card). Their current SIM cards are usually applied under someone else name so that it can be long-term. The new WL even ask me can help her apply cos the boss dragging his feet on this matter, but too bad, just a customer.

Choosing another WL despite having regular: They do their best to keep their regulars but also know men will eventually "lust" for another WLs.
For these two, they say no point making a big fuss, just don't badmouth about them to another WL can already. Some WLs are more “edgy” once their customers “change heart” 变心 so they tend to 胡思乱想 anyhow think. Kinda make perfect sense to me.

Statutory requirements: Health checks are once a month while there is some police interview every 2 months. According to one of them, the police interview is taken very seriously, cannot joke around. Health checks are paid by themselves.

Cost of upkeep: For these two, the boss just provide the accommodation/utilities FOC, everything else is paid by them 100%. They just get occasional treats by boss to some good food. That’s all.
