Local Batam residents rarely visit touristy area/place.

The other day was having my breakfast. Overheard 3 pinoys chit chatting away. There are other foreigners. Some from Sinkieland earning Sgd dollars. So able to stretch the dollar. Come once awhile. Sure spoilt market.

There are also Japs and they are too used to paying what they pay at home. I saw Indians and they were negotiating rates like mad, they wouldn't spoil any market 😆👍

When Formosa Hotel closed down some years back ago, the situation has forced me to move out of my comfort zone to re-established another headquarter in Batam, hehehe... no hotel could match Formosa as yet.

For this, I agree. Ever since Formosa closed down, i had tried others like Da Vienna, Harmoni Suites, none can compare to Formosa(if to choose, Da Vienna will be better one but cost higher).

Recently came back from Batam 3D2N trip. Nothing special happened as i was just relaxing myself trying another hotel which is Biz Hotel. The room I got was small.

As usual I walked all the way from ferry terminal to Biz Hotel. Along the way, I still saw the Club Atalanta Spa Signage standing around despite the spa closed down so long way before covid. A nice budget place I usually went in the past.

Yes. All kind of nationalities and most were working in sinkieland. As for south asian customers, most of the girls told me they would avoid them.

Many years ago, a girl I booked (yes, I did also that in my life) told me about an Indian guy, who booked the girl from the joint, then, when they went to hotel room and opened the door, she found also his 4 or 5 friends waiting ROFL.
If I understand people's psychology, I think that guy thought to be a smart savvy buyer (i.e., "I pay for the night, unlimited bonks, it is the same if I am with friends, we share the cost").
I am not surprised in recent years they set a limit on the number of bonks. Men ok, rabbits no thanks.

Atalanta as in opposite AP Premier (formally Novotel & Travelodge)? That spa budget meh

Try FaveHotel it's not too bad. Of course nothing compares to Formosa.

Lol. Remind me of one of my friends whos from South Asian country. He booked a girl. Only came out of his room for lunch and dinner. Next morning he told us he bonked his girl 11 shots. Sure know how to stretch his rupees.

Its a new hotel opened last year. Min S$50 a night. But I prefer high rise hotel.

During that time, it considered cheap and budget compare to the rest like delta spa and octopus spa and it had the facilities I wanted.
