Singapore: Newly-crowned Spanish King's Cup champions Atletico Madrid have arrived in Singapore.

Touching down at Changi Airport just past five in the morning, didn't stop some die-hard fans and a dragon dance troupe from laying out a Singapore-style welcome for the team.

With two matches left to go in the Spanish league, Atletico still made the trip to Singapore to play an exhibition match.

The team is scheduled to play a Singapore selection side in support of Singapore businessman Peter Lim's Olympic Foundation charity on Wednesday.
