TigerAir to fly to Chiangmai from S'pore on 29/10/13

SINGAPORE - Singapore-based budget carrier Tigerair is expanding its network by adding four more destinations as well as boosting frequencies to Surabaya, Indonesia.

From Oct 29, Tigerair will launch flights to Chiang Mai, Thailand and Langkawi, Malaysia four times a week as well as three times a week to Lombok, Indonesia.

In addition, it will operate three flights per fortnight to Lijiang in Yunnan Province, China.

Tigerair will also be bumping up the frequency of its Surabaya-bound flights from seven to 13 times weekly starting Nov 15.

It's indeed good news however, the price is not cheap. A total of $3++ both ways but exclude check-in bag & booking admin charges if travel on 12 Nov onward. The timing is rather good. For TG, under credit card promotion, the cost is $382 include everything. The down side is to transit from BKK & some waiting time. Cheers.

maybe around but not sure, kids school holiday end Sep so maybe bring kids to bkk for them to holiday and I go holely day. Most likely 1st week not in but 2nd week maybe back lew. Let me know when date nearer so can check and confirm again prof N

Actually this route is not new to Tiger. When they first started the airline, they already flying this route and to Udon Thani too. Have flew to CNX on Tiger then. But both were taken off their network later as they r not profitable routes.

Hi,

I remember a couple of years ago I took their first flight to CM & consecutively a few times till they stopped the flight. The best thing was the turn around ticket was less than S$100. Those were the days. Cheers.

Yeah those were the days. if not wrong was 6 ~7 years ago 2005/2006...
at that time went there 4 to 5 times within a year. don't know why must be 疯了

but don't know when Tigerair will remove this SG-CNX route again... due to not making $ haha

share share some info on those were the day..
