The day ended really slow... i was looking at my phone and hoping she will message me and tell me why she slapped me. She usually takes the initiative to talk first.

For the next few days, i refrained from visiting Margaret's company. She did call a few times but I dare not pick up. fearing that she might confront me and end any point of contact. Worse to worse, i fear she might resign. I stuck to other jobs but being in a similar field, we eventually met.

I was in a lift of a industrial building and when the lift door opened, I saw that familiar eyes. I was mesmerized and Margaret just stopped at the lift.

"Come in... we need to talk" she whispered

I was afraid and yet inside me, i was dying to apologize. But i remained quiet, fearing that any words from me will just earn me "You shut up, SF!"

As we reached a halt, which i did not even realize we arrived and which floor was it, Margaret ushered me out of the lift. It was a carpark level. Kinda Deja vu.

Before i said anything, Margaret hugged me again.

"SF, i'm sorry, i was just confused that why i kissed you, please don't cheat on your wife!" said Margaret, tearing a little as she whispered the words near my ear.

I was stumped. I don't know what to say... i don't even know if i should hug her too...

But strange enough, as i pushed her away, our eyes met and we just drew our faces nearer. But this time, i refrained... i really don't want her to cry so i didn't.

"I'll listen to you... dear" I said as I smiled.

I also informed her that I will hand over the project to my junior. Margaret replied that she will join another company for good as she want to minimize contact.

Doubts are still in my head. So as she left, i held her arm and stopped her as I asked

"Why are we doing this?"

"Don't you feel we are getting too comfortable. Respect me for heaven's sake, SF. I'm older than you and you barely even know me!" shouted Margaret, which drew attention of the security guards.

I waved them off and shouted "Lover's quarrel... haha! Paiseh ah!" The guards smiled and i pulled her to a less visible corner of the carpark.

I was pissed with her. She was the one that kissed me first and now she's accusing me? I pinned her to the wall and as expected, we kissed again.

I was gonna expect 2 things :

Nope, it didn't happen, instead the 2 security guards came over instead and told us to go to a hotel to settle our business... Not here as the surveillance camera is right above us.

So i held her hand and tears just started streaming down her cheeks. I do not know was it me who was too violent or was there something inside her heart that needs some soothing.

At this instance, my wife messaged me "Where you? Can you fetch me?"

Shit happens. So i had to call her right? But not when there's a mad woman on the wheels with Thai techno pumping out from the speakers. My wife will surely be thinking i'm with a Thai hussy or at a hang flower joint. I replied her I'm in a meeting.

Margaret stopped crying and took out a whisky flask from her handbag, unscrewed the cap frantically and took a long swig. Man, she really loves drinking!

So i told my wife I'm outside now at the job site and will be home rather late as I'm in my colleagues car.. because her car looks more presentable (this is the beauty of chinese language, in written form, the look different, but the word 'His' and 'Hers' sounds exactly the same... )

She said she will be home late as she will be going to her Mom's place. I sense she knows something is weird about me. The usually 24/7 available hubby is not able to fetch her. As i tried to explain, my wife hung up. I redialed but she did not pick up.

Margaret laughed and said "I had that before.... my hubby will tell me all these things, but you, at least you redial.. .you are not beyond salvation"

I was quiet. I felt awkward and guilty. I kissed a heart broken lady to give her more heartache and now i'm cheating on my wife to break Margaret's heart even more.

"I'm broken anyway... " Margaret said as stormed to my side of her car and pressed her body against mine. I looked at her in shock as she kissed my lips, moving to my chin and neck. I did not resist. As she moved her lips on top of mine again, I can taste the lingering whisky in her mouth. I wanted more of her.
