Woo hoo! Smash and grab. Soak and strike. Exciting game with Allison in top top form. Both sides were wasteful. Konate is a bit lucky. It's a challenge we normally see in the EPL but the tolerance level in the CL is much lower.

Do we rotate for this weekend's match against Southampton?

As for the Caraboa Cup final against Newcastle, 2 of their best players are out. 1 with a suspension. The other with a major injury.

Looks like Slot 4-2-3-1 system playing defensively and counterattack frustrating PSG works brilliantly.

The system also works playing against MC.

We got lucky. Even Arne Slot admitted it in the interview. We tried to compete for their best player but unfortunately he chose to leave Napoli for PSG in the Jan 2025 transfer window. Khvicha is an amazing player. Would have been an upgrade on Szobozlai. I noticed something unusual about him. He doesn't play with shin pads. There is a photo in the attached link. Wah if he comes to England where the tackles are heavy, gone case very soon

Yes Slot use a different approach when away against a strong team unlike Klopp . It is true we are lucky to get a win but you will need that when there is so much game to play in a season

Watched the goal Elliot scored versus PSG many times. Alisson great long ball spotted Nunez running. Nunez won the header and controlled well. Every defenders tot he will dribble and shoot but he lay on to a rushing Elliot who shoot and score.

Somehow the goal was made by Alisson Nunez and Elliot. Curtis Jones was a decoy on left.

All these were subs except Ali.

Nunez did really well with the assist to Harvey for his goal

Curtis had a good game

Actually ALL 4 subs generally played well, including Endo

Think Trent surprisingly played quite well defensively

As for Alisson, he was 100% World Class and probably put a smile on the late great Ray Clemcence's face up in the sky

On the flipside, Salah had a really poor night, not sure whether it was the effects of Ramadan??

Tbf have to give credit to PSG and Enrique. Think Luis has built a very good technically skillful and athletically strong team. Really like and fear Dembele and Kvara but the player who caught my eye the most was their midfield maestro, Vitinha, so smooth and dominant.

This PSG team looks like a real CL contender...but...have to say Donnarumma is the weak link and he let PSG down against Liverpool...think he should have done better to save Harvey's goal...then again I ain't complaining

Slot has a lot to think about for the return leg of this tie next week. Think it is going to be a really tough game and also an exciting one as I don't think PSG has anything to lose now and can just go all out and try their luck

But before that, please let us deal with Southampton first, without any injuries

Wow, this was how much we made from our jersey sales last year. I think we will earn much lesser this year given how ugly our home kit is this season. The staff at Queensway told me sales this year is bad. Most fans he said is waiting for Adidas
