Recently my partner wanted to try out mmf, it's both our first time. Dunno whether to find a third party that we know or just a bro here. If it is safe to really do it with a stranger? Any advise?

Yes. Though I suggest 'stranger', but best to meet that person up first, and get to know each other some basic info, and discuss the rules and regulations that you both will have, before proceeding
