Soreness

Hi, I got diagnosed with epididymitis in hospital and was given antibiotic with anti-inflammatory for close to 3 weeks. The pain and soreness went away. However, after awhile, the soreness came back again after finishing up the antibiotic and anti-inflammatory. The doctor said that it might take 3 months for symptoms to be entirely gone, however i am afraid that the infection is back again. Anyone experienced this before and any advice?
