Not sure about where to stay, but for shopping, you could certainly drop her off at the Emporium and then walk yourself over to Soi 24 and 24/1. You will find plenty of full-service MP's there
. Selection is usually better after 4-5 p.m.
Oh, if your wife gets tired from spending your money, she could get something to eat at the Emporium foodcourt on the 5th floor!
