That said, I agree that there's a lot of photoshopped stuff out there. Really hard to judge. That's why sometimes, OT is a good option, can scan the material up front, first hand experience.

Anyway, about the locals vs foreigns... isn't that what we experience in the workplace? Don't we want to get paid the same as our expat colleagues if we are the same quality? If the local deserves it, she should get the same high price we willing to pay for foreigners too.
