CAF to investigate violence

African football chiefs will meet tis month 2 discuss the violence tat marred the continent's Champions League clash betw Egyptian side Zamalek & Club Africain on Saturday.

The Confederation of African Football's (CAF) Disciplinary Board will examine reports fr match officials aft Zamalek fans stormed the field aft a late goal was disallowed with the visitors leading 5-4 on aggregate in the round of 16 clash in Cairo.

The referee was targeted, as were players fr the Tunisian visitors with captain Wissem Ben Yahia, Aymen Soltani & Seifeddine Akremi reportedly injured amid the chaos.

The Egyptian Football Association hv abandoned plans 2 resume domestic football in mid-April aft the incident.
