Just to qualify that I did not visit the website so just my honest assumption
From the writing style & lingo used it seems to me that the writer is most probably a caucasion
Comparisons are seldom fair, as it always places either a much better or worst examples for the sake of winning the argument, just that some may compare Singapore with Japan and complained that Japan is expensive
