Remember also 50 baht airport tax and you pay about 60 or so for toll road, this is on top of the meter. Can go to departures to catch taxi there, no airport tax.
Can also go to 1st floor exit number 8, take Airport Express bus, 150 baht, various routes through central Bangkok. May have to wait 30 minutes or so for the right bus to show up. And if you stay someplace like inside Pratunam better to know the area or you may get lost after you drop.
These options not really ideal for traveling with family
