which is why i said i m more of a conventional fan. brought up to feel that hard work is more important than talent. voronin is a hard worker, but of course, if u compare him to kuyt, then it is unfair. but kuyt also dont have much creativity, but he epitomises the team i grew up watching. hard work and relentless determination actually paying off. so, my fault for being sentimental towards hardworking players.

now viz Babel...no doubt this lad appears to be mercurial...however i dont think Rafa has helped matters by continously not starting wif Babel, particularly when Torres was unfit n going wif Voronin instead (n sometimes Ngog who is younger n more inexperienced) when it is clear that Voronin just cannot cut it at this level...Rafa is to blame for killing this lad's confidence n dont forget it is Rafa who paid over 10m quid for Babel...also keep in mind that this is a WC yr n Babel is desperate to get into the Dutch squad...so it wld make sense that he wld probably at least try n be more motivated to perform on a consistent basis
we all know that voronin cant make it in the premier league, but hertha berlin didnt want to pay the transfer fees. i dont work at LFC, so i do not know why babel is not getting selected ahead of voronin. but from the field, it seems that rafa values voronin's work ethics rather than to chance the real babel turning up, which all i can say is, not very often at all.

i dont know about u, i hate it when journalists rave about a certain player coming back to form based on a good performance in 1 game after zombieing for a few games. consistency is the key, actually. judging the guys based on a couple of games is very unfair. but that is just me.

ya but what happened in Lyon??...those 2 pony tailed idiots Voronin n Kyrg sld never hv been allowed to pull on a Reds shirt in the first place...
kyrgiakos has not been given much playing time to get used to the english league. but have u seen him playing for boring greece when they won euro 2004. i hated him then cos he was so reliable at the back and his determination and willingness to put his body on the line really stood out. now, he is in a new team with new teammates, not playing regularly and yet u decided to judge him. even if he doesnt have speed, he has more experience than u give him credit for. at 1.5mil, dont think one can get any better than kyrgiakos. and ayala is simply still not ready for the first team.

pls stop making excuses for Rafa...why did the Reds need to bring in Kyrg as a stop gap measure in the first place?...this chap is clearly too old n slow n does not hv the legs for the EPL/CL action...he is useless...u want to talk abt a real significant stop gap measure that Rafa missed out on probably because of Rafa's stubborn attitude...Michael Owen...freebie on a pay per game pay per goal deal...what was the downside?...n this is a player who was keen to be a Red Man again n also motivated by this being a WC yr...
oh my god!!! michael owen!!! i agree with u that rafa is stubborn, but michael owen!!! it's your prerogative, but to me, michael owen should never wear the liverpool shirt, ever again. owen is like an ex-gf to me, who chose to leave me for another man when i was down. forgive can, forget also can. so many years liao... but to reconcile and be in a relationship again, sorry... i cant do it. again, that is just me talking.

making excuses for rafa??? not me!!! i absolutely hate it when he fields the team with the following game in mind. i was even hoping for fulham to win the game so that rafa will wake up his idea. no, not being disloyal here. i was just hoping that rafa will lose enough battles so that he can win the war.

i suggest u read my posts abv...i hv already answered these pts n shall not repeat myself again..n the press may be biased at times...but i also think quite afew pts raised by the media hv some basis n strength...no doubt the Reds hv benefitted fm Rafa's reign...but i still think he has taken the Reds as far as he can, all things considered...Reds need a fresh change both owner n manager...
havent been in this thread for too long. too many posts from too many bros for me to follow up. sorry about it.

so what r u trying to imply here?...i fail to see why some chaps get so upset when legitimate constructive criticism is levelled at Rafa...worse still the critics appear to be labelled as disloyal fans...sounds like the PAP govt...sheesh
sheesh... u r sensitive, arent u? i m just extremely proud of the team and my views are extreme as well. if i offended u, i dont mean it. like i have said, it is easy to blame the manager but when u dont provide viable solutions to the discussion, your points arent really convincing. sack the bugger and then what next??? reminds me of cao cao who executed the generals and he was then left with no one experienced to lead his navy.

PAP??? i dont know, but LFC is a blue collar club. thus the fervent support. dont get much help from the bereaucrats cos they support the rich teams. think manure, juventus, real madrid and barcelona. liverpool supporters are usually supporters of the underdog, very much against autocratic govts. i would like to think we are the goldsteins in george orwell's 1984.

i m sorry again if i offended u. maybe i m just too fanatic about liverpool for my own good. but in principle, rafa to me, is just like my wife (no, my wife doesnt look like him). she is a very good wife and mother, but she overspends sometimes and it affects us financially the following month. and sometimes, she snores. and sometimes, she leaves me with our child at home to go drinking with her kakis. sometimes, i cant stand it and quarrel with her. but i would never think of divorcing her and get another mummy for my child. overall, she is doing a good job. things that nobody knows except for me and my boy. but people do see her splurge on designer heels and go drinking until i have to go pick her up from the nitespots.

so please do understand that u r asking me (and some of us here) to divorce my wife but not telling me whether to ask my mother to take care of the child, get a maid or get a china wife. what if the china wife ill-treat my child (torres)???

supporting LFC is very important to me cos LFC represents values which coincides with what i hope to be as a man. an underdog standing up to the autocrats, armed with not much talent, but full of determination and pride. so, next time, just ignore me cos i come in to reply with a full head of steam. that's what most people here do to me, well except for rahl and beck.
