Torres injury blow for Liverpool

Striker Fernando Torres is likely to miss Liverpool's next match with an ankle strain, manager Rafa Benitez said.

Torres, who limped off in Liverpool's 2-1 defeat to Atletico Madrid last week, played in Spain's win over Macedonia with a heavily strapped ankle. However, he suffered a reaction after the game and now looks unlikely to be fit for Liverpool's season opener against Tottenham.
