a good thai girl will ask you to flag those moving taxis and not go for the stationary taxis, they will try to nego with the taxis for meter and walk away with you from those taxis if the price they quoted are too expensive and bring you to take BTS instead...next time do this way  
always nego price before ANY action, dun take for granted cus sometimes they also will take for granted tat all Sillyporean are carrotheads

Thanks bro for the info's. I think we took the cab at about 9pm. It was raining so we pretty much hopped into the first one and the driver did turn on his meter. BTS, we were not anywhere near a BTS, we were at Central Plaza. So far on both my trips I've not had any problems with the cab drivers except this one. Anyway, I let myself be carrot head for this gal. Can probably call it repay debt lah. Won't be going back to BKK anytime soon.
