Jason: Eh bruh, you haven't go back to the office yet right?
Me: nope.... I've 2 back to back meetings this morning....
Jason: I went in this morning before my meeting and met the new girl already....
We were working in a SME and were both in the sales department.
After my external meeting, I had met Jason directly at our usual haunt, a coffeeshop near the office, for lunch.
Me: har? new girl?... I thought the boss haven't make any offer yet?...
Jason: I heard from Yua that the offer was just made yesterday and the girl started work this morning...
Yua was our HR person.
Me: wah. so fast...
Jason: yes... I guess she needed the job... anyway, she's damn hot....
Me: wah lao... every woman that Arthur hire is also chio loh....
Arthur is our boss.
Jason: no... this one is really pretty and her figure super solid.... she's about 1.6m, have quite big boobs, slim waist, long legs, perky butt....
Jason: If she is not married, I'm going to try to date her...
I was a little surprised because this was the first time that I heard that he wanted to date a girl.

Since both of us drove, we went back individually.
Jason and I were very close in the office.
After work, we would go for a drink at least once every week. Sometimes, I would also join him for his KTV sessions or we would go to a massage palour together. He would have his extra service but I was not interested in paid sex for many various reasons which I am not going to discuss here.
Our office was in West Coast Area and occupy an entire floor of a building. The current office population consist of 16 people.
The boss - Arthur (38)
The HR and Finance - Nancy (32) and Yua (27)
Procurement - Kat (32)
Project Manager - Muthu (50) and 2 other girls
Sales - Jason (30) and me (29)
Workers - Work Permit holders x 30
Nancy is Arthur's sister. The rest of the girls were young and pretty, mainly PR or WP status.
The company was at its full headcount except for our sales team. Arthur had always insisted that a third person was needed the sales team.
This was not a new requirement but it is just that the post for the 3rd headcount was always vacated every few months. The most recent sales girl had left the company a week back.
I knew it was not about the salary because I heard from the ex-colleague that her basic salary was substantially higher than us. It wasn't even about her sales target because she said Arthur did not gave her any.
In fact, this seemed to be a perfect sales job on the outside but we all knew that there were issues related to the role.
Firstly, sales position were normally a permanent role. If you perform, you stay. If you don't perform, you will be asked to leave during the probation period. Simple as that. However, this position was a 1 year contract offer.
Secondly, Jason and I were bringing in good numbers. Arthur himself was also contributing a large amount of revenue. So it was not necessary for a 3rd headcount, especially when the post did not have a fixed target.
Thirdly, Arthur only hired young and pretty girls for the role.
It was obvious that Arthur was using this opening to bait women to join the company. After that, he would harass them and try to date them.
The salegirls could do nothing because he was the boss and he had made sure that he kept within the boundaries of the law. Left with no choice, the girls had to resign.
However due to the contractual terms, the salegirl could only leave after 1 month notice. If she wanted to leave early, she would need to reimburse the company back her salary.
Jason and I had seen the case repeated many times and we did not agree with what he was doing. However, the company was paying us good commission and his antics were not bothering us, we continued to work for him.
Despite his lecherous behaviour towards all the past sales girl he employed, somehow, Arthur did not harass the rest of the girls in the office. Maybe Nancy had warned him about it but there was no way for us to know.
