My name is Sam. At 31, I was an extremely successful private banker in an overseas bank. I was staying in my own 2 bedder condo in Keppel Bay area and drove a R8. I had 2 other condos in the heartlands and a shophouse that I was renting out currently. Aside from those, I had built up quite a substantial portfolio of bonds and stocks. The woman would always be stunned by such extravagance on the first date and the rest was easy for me. After all, who wouldn't like to be pampered and who wouldn't want to have a better life.

As such, each time after I made the obscene display of my wealth, the women would try their best to impress me. I would get into a relationship with them for about a month or 2 and once I got bored with their pussy, I would just dump them.

Such matters would never get leaked out to the media because none of these women would want their reputation to be tainted. Thus, no one knew that I was an asshole and I continued to get a constant supply of such women.


It was one Friday evening, when I did not need to meet any clients and was in-between relationships. I was swiping through Instagram when I chanced upon a new face and she caught my eyes immediately.

I searched for her profile on other social media platforms and there were none. On this platform, it looked like she had just started to be active only 2 months back. All of her videos were not professionally taken and there was a high chance that she was still not working with any agents at this moment.

I picked up my phone and called Victor, the agent who headhunt for new faces. He answered my call after 5 rings.

Victor: hello Sam.... sup'?

I sent him Freya's profile.

I went back to looking at Freya's videos. The way she was dancing in the videos were full of life and I wondered if she was as active in real life. I began to think of where I should bring her for dinner on our first date in order to impress her.



A week later, I was having dinner with a client when Victor called me. I stepped out to answer his call.

Victor: eh.... Sam... I got not so good news for you....

Sam: what is it?

Victor: Sorry.... I spoke to her a few times but no matter what I did, Freya refused to join my company and would rather continue on her own....

I frowned. If Freya did not join his company, then there was no chance that she would go for dinner with me. I knew he was a very experience agent but I could not help but to ask him.

Victor: did you tell her that your company could help her to get famous and earn a lot of money?

Victor: yes... I did.... but she was not interested at all...

This came as a surprise. Normally women that started their social media platform were hoping to get famous and become rich. I had never met one that was not interested in money yet.


Me: do you know why? I need more details....


Victor told me that Freya had graduated from the University about a year ago and was doing part time jobs previously. She had just started a new permanent job in the Ubi area. The videos posted on social media were just her hobbies. She was completely not interested to switch to the entertainment industry and neither was she interested to get famous.


me: is her family well to do?

Victor: no.... I got a PI to tail her.... she's staying with her parents in a 4 room flat in Pasir Ris and her mum is also working for some local SMEs.... and her dad is a PHV driver....

Those were all the information that he had of her and we hung up the call.
