We accompanied my mum the whole day.

Mary called us to let us know that she and my dad were back at their home saftely.

I remembered how my foster father looked like on his death bed and that was why I was not blaming my dad.

Dad: yes... of course.... I had an agreement with her and I intended to keep it.... I am also not acknowledging you openly. so you can continue to live with your mum like the way you had done all these while....

Business in the office returned to normal.

My dad had regained his health and returned to the office to work.

During this time, Mary brought Priscilla overseas twice to meet up with more potential suppliers. Mary took the lead while Priscilla was the understudy.

Mary's intention was to get some new products for the company to sell and train Priscilla to deal with them.

Chin had completely stopped bothering Priscilla but Heng was still up to his cheeky stuff

As for Kristy, Priscilla continued to meet her once in a while but I left myself out of their gathering again.

My wife and I had sex frequently but nothing out of the ordinary happened any more.

6.30pm

Mary had told us to go over to their place in Mountbatten Road after work and I drove us there.

My dad and Mary were sitting on the sofa waiting for us.

Priscilla and I sat on a armchair each.

Dad and Mary looked at each other. Dad nodded and Mary spoke.

Mary: ok... I've asked you here because we have discussed and decided that we will hand over the company to both of you....

Priscilla: but Aunt Mary....

Mary put up her hand.

Mary: Although I'm not Sam's mum but my husband is his dad.... since I don't have any children, I'm supportive of what he wants....

I shook my head.

Me: but we are not ready....

Mary: Sam, you are... we haven't been doing much these few months but the company is in good shape and doing well... you're doing a great job...

Mary turned to Priscilla

Mary: and after the training, you now know how to deal with those new suppliers.

Priscilla nodded quietly.

Dad: We have already bought tickets to these places....

He showed us the invoices and the itinerary he had came up with. It was a 3 months trip around the US.

Dad: so we feel that it's time for us to retire....

They gave us a lot more reasons and eventually we agreed.

11am

We went down to a lawyer firm and apparently dad had already gotten them to prepare the documents

Priscilla and I became the major shareholder of the company while dad and Mary became the minority. They were still directors but would only receive a fraction of their previous salary. They would still get dividends off the profits at the end of the year.

The accounts for the company were handed over to Priscilla and the management control was handed over to me.
