aston villa was a powerhouse that time, with gary shaw and peter withe terrorizing every defence in the country. both of them were totally different, shaw is a handsome blond with delicate and creative touches. withe is a bull and built like a train. they kept scoring and scoring together.

nottingham forest was also a big club, there were many forest fans in my school. those days even brighton, stoke city and swansea played in div 1. no such thing as top 4 whatsoever, every team can shine.

paul mariner! the main reason why ipswich was so good. he scored plenty for the club although he was frequently injured. that movie should be "escape to victory".
