MOH can compare the safe entries with the room no. If safe entry is not allocated to a room than fail. Many cases like this, hotel closed.
These are the rules currently with very little room for negotiation at the front desk.

correct. but can be the dh is a guest on her own. no one at the door checks who is with who. and she doesnt go to the front desk to check in. again depend on the hotel. u go h81 or whatever unavoidable. say u go mbs. just walk straight to the lift. there are other hotels where door and front desk are not near each other.
