Is the thought that counts.
For me, I would know if they are appreciative of the food I bought through subtle or obvious hints.
Thereafter just gauge whether to continue the gesture.

I have not met Songsong but have her WC.
Occasionally she would post interesting photos of herself, and I would PM her to make some small talk
Interestingly she would always reply this stranger that is me, even if it’s just an emoji
I guess I’m looking forward to her coming back if she does
