Hehehe...can make S$1 more, why make S$1 less? Nowaday i know what are the items i am looking for in Batam, hence i can make price comparison.
Example :
Harbour Bay Mall is like a Ghost Town to many...hehehe...
...but i enjoy shopping there for the cheapest stuffs there. And "cheapest" here is a strong word.
Where in Batam can find a fairly good haversack for laptop costing only S$15? Even Sunboss at Citywalk Mall selling the same thing at over S$20,hehehe...how i know? Becos i bought from both places before,hehehe... same type of haversack shown below with USB connector built-in is just another S$2 more (cost S$17).
I have no intention to buy initially, but when i saw it at that price, w/o 2nd thought, i bought 2 of it. And i even have plans to buy more in my future trips.
Peanuts at Bayfront Mall selling at the below S$3.50, S$3.00 and S$3.00...
...but penuin wet market selling at S$3.00, S$2.50 and S$2.50.
So my conclusion is, no matter how expensive Penuin wet market is selling their stuffs, it is probably still cheaper than Touristy area like Airport, Ferry Terminal or Major Batam shopping mall area,hehehe...
Peanut goes well with beer. For someone like me who dont drink and rarely ate peanuts, i find the above photo's peanut that was "cook" with garlic taste nice! And if people like me find it good, i am kind of sure most beer drinkers most likely should find it taste nice too,hehehe...

Oh ya? That means can buy duck egg from the wet market side to ask the aunty to fried carrot cake for me? Cool...will likely try that in my coming trip if those aunties and uncles wants some carrot cake,hehehe...
