Joining in Aug17 is a problem as you are a newbie. Meaning no one knows exactly what you are up too.
Being a SB member is like being in a secret society ( old birds only meet old birds ) I had attended a few gatherings and newbies not welcome due to privacy reason.
I also can tell you that as an old bird, we do get help a lot easier like my first trip to Hanoi years ago. Paying gain no respect from others .....it had to be earned.
I am more of a Manila specialist but I ask for help if I visit other countries, the old birds here do read my posting to determine if I am genuine b4 they decide to offer their help.
Important thing is to share your experience and FR to gain some point ..... Gave nothing and you will get nothing.
I remember on my maiden trip to Manila, I only armed with info i got here , went and looked around and started sharing my experience, not necessary sexs, FR stories . just share things like experience gained, foodstuff, observations and funny stuff which I write most of the time ..... we will judge you if you were really there or just a student.
My observation about you ......... high positioned ( father's business maybe ??), used to be served with info that you want, get things your way........... but sorry, you will be surprised with the number of businessmen, senior managers, CEOs, Directors of MNC among the old birds and some really humble people with humble jobs. We grew with SBF for more than 15 years averagely, you are not even 15 weeks old....
So, the golden rule, do with the info you got from this thread ( its good enough ) and GIVE BEFORE ASKING.
Looking at your October posting, it's indeed long-winded, dry, no fun to read, no additional info provided and shows an attitude of money is King and it can settle everything......you want to be served like a King ....bad way to start off here really .....maybe you should treat other members the same way you like to be treated .
