I won't really advise you to take 4 or 5-stars unless you are willing to book another room under your VB's name, which in that case you don't really need any of their permission or approval liao
There are always some that claimed they managed to sneak through by giving some "tips" to the doormen/concierge/recept...etc but this is never guaranteed so not advisable to risk this, if not successful not only you are high & dry but still gotta pay some transportation tips to your VB to go back
Go for 2-stars as most of them are quite clean & nicely done up quite unlike other countries, A&EM chain is one of the most popular ones (which I personally never did like based on my own preferences
) and they have many branches all around HCM.
