Nah, all hearsay on your part. Not even made it to main stream media, and then dire consequences. Like biting the hand that feeds you (for such important revenue earner).
But yes, the men in brown are known to be less than honest with petty offences and into graft (check recent big scandal and scams by CSI big wigs).
On touristy suk, just be careful on ciggie littering. Just waiting to pounce, as with my only 2 experiences.
