Well its confirmed that the Sunday rallies will proceed as planned. They have already started building the stages earlier this evening. Thousands of Suthep's supporters are also streaming into Bangkok. It was reported that the traffic jam on Rama 2 into Bangkok stretched almost 20km long. Is Suthep's finally going to get his 5 million protesters today?
From the map of the rally sites looks like all major tourist/shopping/chiong areas are affected. Even if you are taking the BTS or MRT be prepared for it to be really crowded. My advice if you need to shop/chiong would be Rachada, Lad Phrao, Ramintra, Ramkhampeng, Srinakarin and Rangsit areas. Expect heavy traffic because most locals will be heading to those areas too.
Best is to not move around too much first. Keep yourself updated. Wait and see how the situation unfolds because some are expecting violence.

Traffic jam on Rama 2. The baan nooks are heading to town!
Taksin pays the voters. Suthep gets paid by voters. Reportedly collected 8kg worth of mostly BHT500 and BHT1,000 notes over the last 2 days.
