School for PRC

Anyone knows of any schools suitable for PRCs? Trying to arrange my gal study here to get a student pass, besides Auston, are there any other good ones?

Anyone know of any schools with cheaper rates?

Thanks in advance! ;)

YMCA is a private school just wondering it is still around in Dhoby Ghaut.
This organisation should have a cheaper rate.

I think Bros here can list down the number of private schools in this thread.

i don't think that YMCA offers cheaper school fees. Their fees are very much similiar to other private schools and even higher than some. There are some things to note when you wish to choose private school to study for your PRC gf.

SQC Schools (Singapore Quality Class)
These schools are certified and given the SQC certificate. If the PRC wants to avoid paying the $5000 deposit, then SQC schools will be those to choose. Please note that the student has to pay $5000 deposit (for PRC students) to ICA if he/she chooses to study in non-SQC schools. ICA can issue student pass equal to duration of the whole course to the student studying in SQC school. These schools also have their own campus as this is a requiirement set by government . Students who graduated from these schools will be given 1 month social visit pass after the end of their course . At the same time, the chinese embassy in singapore only recognises SQC private schools. The `LIU XUE ZHENG MING' or Overseas studies Certificate is only issued to students who has studied and graduated from government schools and SQC private schools. But these schools charge higher school fees relative to the rest.

Some SQC schools include : Auston, SIC, Stansfield, YMCA, APMI, EASB etc etc

CASETRUST
All SQC schools are Case Trusted. Schools that want to recruit overseas students need to be case trusted. Although there were SQC schools that ran into trouble with case trust, but these SQC schools have since cleared up with CASE. CASETRUST schools are all involved in school fees insurance scheme that protects the school fees paid by these students.

If you wish to look for schools with lower fees, then you have to look for those smaller schools that are not SQC and CASE certified.

Auston, SIC, Stansfield, YMCA, APMI, EASB all this are quite expensive.

Bro, if you find SIC, Stansfield, YMCA, APMI and EASB expensive, then SIM and MDIS is even worse. SIM fees for international students are generally 10% to 15% higher than other SQC schools. MDIS is the same. So i will think a smaller school will be better for your gal. At the same time, most of the PRC students need to go for english lessons for 6 mths before proceeding for other courses. So try out language schools first. plenty of cheap language schools around, but minimum also need $300 to $400 a month.

School fees will depend on the type of courses. Business related courses will be cheaper while tourism and arts / design will cost more. Go to the website of the school and write directly to the school. The school will be able to handle everything. :D
