Public service announcement: NO to "share ctc pls"

Just something that I have been noticing. More n more so-called "samsters" are blindly replying to threads with "share ctc pls". Now I am not saying that we shd not share. But pls, before asking for contact, please ensure the following:

- read thru the thread. Sometimes the ctc can be found rite inside the FR. Or if the thread is already a few years old, there is a good chance that the place is dead alrdy.

- if TS stated his condition for sharing ctc n u know u do not qualify for it. Save it.

- USE PM! This brings up two points. Firstly, it is very very tedious and troublesome work for ts to go thru all the replies in the thread asking "share ctc pls". Secondly, for the benefit of all other samsters in here, it saves us the trouble of going thru endless replies of " share ctc pls" before we can find a useful FR.

In short, use replies for FR or other more constructive discussions. Asking for ctc? PM pls.

But, see if that most of the culprits guilty of this don't read at all, I reckon this PSA is going to go to waste. The problem will still persist.

Drainer BRO

Many of us fail to read thru the thread to search for answers of CONTACTS - im also guilty of this practice at times

Its time we learn to use PM wisely + leave precious space on TS thread for more important postings - such as FR OR MR.

Good post indeed - 4 points for you today ✋

That's the thing I noticed too. But there are too many cases of blindly asking for contacts these days. Someone could have posted information saying that the place is not in operation anymore and immediately the next post that comes in is "pls share". No offense but most of the time u see it is members with 20pts n joined only a few months.

I have also gotten feedbacks from a regular ML that out of 10 customers who called these days, maybe only one is genuinely interested. The rest just called to ask this n that and tries to act like Casanova to chat them up.

You wasting your time. Those who doesn't read will probably not read what you have just sent.

Don't be surprised to get a reply here asking for contact:D

Guilty as charged... an observation... those ts who will actively search his thread to share contacts are likely to have hidden agenda whereas those who only share when you ask and subject to certain criteria is likely to be more genuine

worst are those who hide their lobangs in their pockets, and never posting here.
when they see a good posting here, they will jump high up and said ::

"Hi, I got this ctc. Lets exchange".

TS, after this thread reaches 2 or more pages, there will still be some goondu who will post "please share ctc" in this thread thinking that you are sharing some place.

If only they read and then ask. Tsktsk.

TS has raised a good point and should be commended. I think what is equally important is for those who have been given the contacts to post their FRs. The first FR is good but what will be even better will be FRs by different persons. That way, we can verify whether the first FR is true and correct. There are many threads with a first FR followed by numerous posts asking for contacts but no follow up FRs.

Cheers

Besides upping TS - kudos to FORBES who spell out how to spot GENUINE GOOD threads from just ordinary NORMAL threads 😉

Its NOT the no of POSTINGS that matter - but the fact that the THREAD is well supported by DIFFERENT SAMSTERS POSITIVE FR - THAT MAKES A DIFFERENT thread worth your visits 👌👌👌

THANKS to Forbes !
