How on earth did you end up with gif files????:eek:

Something is not right. No camera produces gif files in this day and age. It's either jpg, tiff or raw.

In Photoshop there is an option to "save for web", that yields a GIF file. It also seems to scrub the photo of any personal information. The quality of the photos seems the same as if saved as jpg.

Any other suggestions for saving with no personal data attached? Not keen to have exact date and time of picture recorded let alone other personal details.
