1. no the 4th gen only test for HIV. it does not test for other STds.

2 no symptoms and discharge does not means u are free from STDs.

3. 3 months should be enough to detect most stds. go for the check.

4. as for how often u should have checkup will depends on how often u have sex with commercial sex workers and ONS. stay away from these group and you might not need another check in your life.

I don't have sex with commercial sex workers and I am faithful to my girlfriend.

However my girlfriend regularly takes part in the gangbang sessions organised by samsters.

Do I need regular STD checks? Please advise.

anyway, in your case, you should not only go for regular checkup.. i would advise u to dump your girlfriend :D

No but if you apply for a long term visa in some countries, being HIV positive could result in the rejection of your application.

I did a hiv oral test 60-70 days after unprotected oral sex and protected sex with a worker and it came out negative. May I know is this conclusive? Should I do another test or I am just worrying unnecessarily? And is night sweats symptom alone indicating hiv?

IMO, It is pretty much conclusive at 70 days if u have taken the 4th gen test.

I took the one at DSC, only one kind hiv oral rapid test. Not sure if that is 4th generation test. Pls advice thanks

mate, i have no idea what test kit they use too. u might want to call them up or wait for someone who can give u a better reply. :)
