Re: Manchester United's Headliners, Articles and Rumours
Saw OGS signing autographs with fans at OT. Think he still got supporters.
https://www.espn.com/soccer/manchest...haaland-for-4m Former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has criticised the club for not taking his advice to sign Erling Haaland in 2018. Solskjaer managed Haaland during their time together at Molde before the striker went on to join FC Salzburg, Borussia Dortmund and now Manchester City. Haaland has enjoyed a sensational debut campaign with at the Etihad Stadium and has scored 51 goals in all competitions. The 22-year-old broke the Premier League's single-season scoring record and was named Football Writers' Association (FWA) Footballer of the Year on Friday, winning the prize by a record margin.. Speaking at "An Evening with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer" event, reported by The Athletic, the Norwegian said United missed out on the chance to sign Haaland for £4 million. "I got in contact with United because we had this talented striker who they should have had," Solskjaer said. "But they didn't listen, unfortunately. Four million, I asked for. But they never signed him. Four million! Don't ask [where he is now]. He's too good ..." Solskjaer also took a swipe at the Glazer family for the way the club has been mishandled during its ownership and urged it to speed up a potential takeover of the club. |

With the return from injury of their super-sub n young wonderboy Garnacho who runs as fast as lightning, fans shd be confident that they r back to winning ways n if he plays the remaining games as a sub, the team shd be able to clinch 4th spot on the League table, maybe even 3rd if the Toons wobble in their last few matches :)...no letting off the gas for a minute n always on the front foot playing attacking or counter-attacking football...he is really missed in the team esp the last few games when all of them were limping on the pitch but now that he is back, confidence to win matches is restored once again...he is by far the best player n goal-scorer MU now has n looks very much like the new CR7 :) |

as for the young super-sub n wonderboy Garnacho i hv said a lot abt him in the post abv...but he is silly to take off his jersey n get a yellow card for this ...wat a waste...hope he won't be suspended for the last 4 remaining games of the club because he is now the saviour of the club n they depend on him to score goals n win their remaining matches to clinch top 4 position on the league table...yes, heard Amad is also doing very well at Sunderland also scoring many goals ...yes, will be exciting to see them playing tgt with Pellestri also next season n scoring goals galore for the club As for Antony n Sancho...the former is still way better than the latter...though much criticized by fans for his showboating n inability to score goals, i think Antony will make a good striker as time goes by with experience though he is a bit expensive as it was a panic buy by ETH his former boss at Ajax...Antony is improving game after game, his influence n help to score goals in the opposition half is greater now...a couple of shots he made would hv gone into opposition goal last night had their goalie not been alert enough... for Sancho it is best he goes back to Dortmund from where he came from, the guy is out of his depth playing like a sch boy back-passing most of the time.. he shd be happier back there scoring goals for them... |

But I hope you are right about him becoming a great player for Man U in future. As for Sancho, very clear cut he is a flop in EPL. Time to go. |

The big difference here is, he was bought for 12+ mil and sold for 80+. Whereas we paid 80+ for Antony and hence the expectation to hit the ground running. |

Of course, as a Man U fan (since B Robson days), would love to see Antony progress to be a useful player. Lest not forget, he is already 23 this year. Most talented players would have peaked at this age. Unless he is late bloomer. |

Mighty Blue Citizens - almost every player can score Little Red Pussies - almost every player can score.......against them.:p Mind you, Haaland wasn't on the scoring list....but B Silva score two. Jack Grealish made Luka Modric look like a lost child :D Meanwhile, Sancho playing the same position always went to sleep.:D |
