Hi bros, will be going for a trip to Pattaya at the end of April. The return flight departs Don Mueang airport at 12noon on a working day. Was wondering if it would be better to leave to Bangkok a night earlier considering the traffic situation? Alternatively, what time would you suggest i leave Pattaya in the morning to reach Don Mueang airport comfortably in time for the flight?

It's not road grid as for Songkran, like another forummer here contemplating flying from U-Tapao.

Unless you got buz in Bkk night before, think give yourself clear -2hrs to DM (prior to check-in) shd do alright. This assumes taxi direct, so in your case Patts/DM 0800-1000 shd see you through. For bus, depends on timetable (unsure)

Bell service from Pattaya to DM is 368bht. 6.30am, 1.30pm.:p if he manage to wake up early to take the 6.30am trip from north Pattaya bus terminal..
TaxI from patt to DM not so cheap la.. is 1200-1500 bht..

Just my opinion. So if the guy has a flight at 12 noon..then a taxi at 7.30 am should be more than ample.
