Got to krungthep last evening 2030, and airport taxi queue was deathly quiet (usually I loathe to Q, and jump into 1 at departure level). Poor cabbie told me he waited couple of hours just for his 1st catch evening when I turned up. He only did 1 tollway bht25 (usually get hit 2X for suk), with meter reading bht211. Rewarded him all of bht300 (incl bht50 airport charge) as he avoided traffic at klong toey area and went via soi33. Soi33 bars looks pathetic and girls lonely hanging outside bars circa 9pm. Spied the old dragon mamasan outside Dali, looking bored and ugly (as ever). Not been to SC or Nana, so can't give objective assessment of chiong scene. Life here goes on, and loads sat crowd at Seacon Square even from 1130 -likely compensating from hotspots Silom and MBK/Central World. My impression is that average bangkokian (unaffiliated to colours) is getting fed up of inconveniences |

anyone under travelling insurance, most insurance company will not be liable for all insurance coverage for people travelling to Bangkok.
This is due to ‘Political Unrest’ as per stated under the clause of the insurance. Please read your policy carefully. Please take note if you are under company trip as your employer should be informed of the risk involved. |
