Re: Bangkok Field Report
Bros, some time ago I recall seeing posts on a hotel close to BKK airport where there were line-ups and extras available. Anyone remember and can share?
PM is fine. No genius-point for guessing where I will transit soon... :D |

While travelling still can log in to internet to surf SBF free of charge. :D Thumbs up to Mini Hotel for the free Wi-Fi. In China even cheapskate motels also provide free internet LAN. Can't believe places like Watana Mansion still charge for internet. Free unlimited internet usage will actually bring in more business. |

Re: Bangkok Field Report
So far so good after just check-in yesterday and was upgrade to M room due to limited S room. One thing, you can ask to select your breakfast for each day from the breakfast list and choose the time from 7.30am to 10.30am to deliver your room.
Agree, Mini hotel will be better value than Palazzo (old wing) or Calypzo for short trip but will move back to Watana for longer stay with a 20% discount given or might split my booking for both. |

Re: Bangkok Field Report
Funny mistakes while learning Thai.
3. A more challenging part of Thai is getting the tones right. Wrong tones can mean the world of difference between comprehension and downright befuddlement. For example, the word for SNOW is Hi-Ma หิมะ If you don't know the right tones, you may end up saying หีหมา Chee-Bye of Dog. And worse, if you ever heard something like this... Nong: Where do you come from? Is it cold? คุณมาจากประเทศที่ไหน โน่นหนาวไหม AM: From Canada. When it's cold, we have "dog CBs" falling all the time. จากแคนาดา เมื่อหนาวมากหีหมาก็ตกตลอดเวลาเลย Nong: (blushing) I see... ต่ะ |
