If all you want to go Thailand for is fuck ; then its better to stay in Sg. One has to appreciate everything thai good and bad to be able to like staying in Thailand for long periods. For me , the cost of living is one reason ; although that is raising in Thailand too. Other reasons are the many options I do not have in Sg.

A beer in kopi tiam cost SGD5+. 4 samsong cokes cost 140B in a Soi Cheep Charlie beerbar but if the mood strikes me , I can go agogo for a 100B beer (+/- 50B) and ogle at naked girls. Thai disco beer in Sg will cost me double and if you don't buy ladydrinks or hang flowers , no one will even look at you ; not to mention girls with tits hanging out!

I also have a massage everyday. A 1 hr oil massage in a thai joint in J.Besar will cost you about SGD50 ; a 1hr foot + 1hr oil massage in Pattaya cost you only 250B.

The people also more friendly , although in a city like Pattaya the people are not as nice as the country folks. How often do you talk to the guy standing or sitting next to you in the MRT or bus in sg? In Thailand , if your thai is good enough , talking to strangers is a good source of info.

If you take the good and the bad Thailand has to offer and also the same for Sg , its about the same living in either place. But the options and cost make it attractive for me

I collect consultation fees for my advise! :D

But I would not do it la. Cash is king and renting is cheap in Thailand. You can stay in a hotel for under 20kB a month with all the services like power , water and maid service so why buy and go thru all the hassle and uncertainty?

Anyway my last trip I looked at one condo price ; maybe I kena the wrong one , same prices for same sized HDB flat in Sg. Off course this one is condo and right across the beach at Jomtien but still there are better ways to park your money.

I lived here many years but still rent. I not cheap charlie..more like Frugal Freddy. My room cost 6000 baht per month.Add 1000 baht for electricity and water depends on how much you use aircon. I use the laundry machine near my room for 40 baht per wash. Wifi is free and so is parking. Have my own gazebo outside my room. No swimming pool but I dont like swimming in a pool anyway.
Simply..I do not buy because I am still not sure I want to be permanent here.:)

Eh bro i never say come to patts to bonk every fking day but u still bonk here and there lah. Come on man i share ur sentiments, i never a fan of the PG singapore and the costly prices there. When i was here during my first trip almost 3 years ago, i bonk everydae.

On my fourth trip now, i miss out alot on bonking but more on chilling. There are nights where i hang at kawaii until closiing just drink beer chit chat wif ang mohs lol... Last night i was taking it easy at marine disco until almost 5 and was simply ogling at an agg girl dancing her ass away...

I like patts too but ppl are not always friendly, hit or miss. But u wont get lost in patts just like how i manage to know the areas of patts after walking around during my first trip.

Aniway just woke up liao, 2 days no bonk, shld bonk tonite, time to makan my kow pat goong liao , so long ah teck bro!

Ty bro...I'm looking more at long term, hence I was wondering if it'd be better to buy one as investment & retirement...especially in my twilight years..

I guess prices everywhere are on the rise...sg is just much faster than others...just thinking of staying somewhere else where my dollar can go a little further than here...I can't imagine myself cleaning tables at 60 where i could be living like an old farang in Patts(or CM)! :D

My Pattaya trip

Just settled down back in home ground.

It was supposed to be a 8 days trip starting on 13th Jan, then decided to get back home earlier due to some personal bad vibes.....

Landed at Suvarnabhumi Airport at 13.45, cleared CIQ in a breeze, probably this is the only sign that indicate a drastic reduction in tourist arrivals due to the protests in BKK. Normally it would have taken at least 40 minutes to clear.

Was out at 14.10pm. Headed for Bell Bus counter at the ground floor, next to the Food court. At the bell counter there were 2 sale persons, both have sign indicating the next departure to Pattaya at 1600. The 2 sale person represent 2 different type of fares, one at 134 bahts, while the other one is 250 bahts.

The 134 bahts bring passengers to Jomtien Bus Terminal, and stopping along the way in Pattaya wasn't an issue, but only along the main road. The 250 bahts bring passengers to Pattaya North Station, and then send the passenger to the Hotel of his choice.

Both have to pay extra for big luggage, to be loaded under the bus. I paid 100 bahts for my golf bag.

While having to wait for the departure, which was 1.5 hours away, I felt too much time wasted, so decided to look for any alternative to leave immediately. And only to find out AOT Limo charge 2200 to Pattaya, some touts tried to charge me 3000. Kwai kwai, went back and wait for the Bell Bus. There would be another option (see my departure)

Bell Bus left Suvarnabhumi Airport at 1600 sharp. and arrived at Jomtien Bus Station at about 1810. Met up with my car rental, and headed for Soi 6.

At Soi 6, Bro K booked room for me at Laguna Restaurant and Bar Guest house. Room was huge, comfortable, big bed, nice toilet and shower facilities, wifi in room, safe, free water, quiet aircon sustem, flat screen TV etc. Only set back is the restaurant closes around 9pm or so. And key to get back into room via the rear entrance. I like this set up/arrangement, privacy for puyings to come and go, without going thru the hall of paiseh. This trip the room charges was 800 bahts per night.

Settled down and quickly headed for Kawaii, which is just opposite the restaurant. Gave Bro K his nasi lemak. Went to meet my puying at O bar, paid barfine and took her out. This trip only settled for her, booked her for 5 nights, and paid her....... (barfine was 500 bahts, LT was supposed to be 2000) nothing much to report on her, just another MILF of my liking. Bro K was concerned that I might be KCed, many thanks to him for his concern.

Met up with Bro M, J and D. We all have fun together, drink and chit chat, ... etc for the next few nights.

Played a day of golf game at Lakewood. Made appointment to play with a lady golfer there. Turn out she work there and on her day off. She was fun, nice looking, another MILF, but only stick to golf game. After 18 hole, headed for another course Royal Golf, about 25 minutes away. Joined by another lady golfer, much better player. Not as nice as the first golfer. Played 18 holes and we finished around 5pm. Was dam hungry, we headed for a nice dinner and headed back to Pattaya. The drive was 1.5 hours each way.

The rest of the days spend light drinking with Singaporeans, laze around, eat here and there, played lousy pool, had ST with one of Kawaii girl, with the sweetest smile there. Sex wasn't great at all, felt like did some charity.

After the 3rd day, returned the rental car, didn't feel like driving anymore. Part of the reason for cutting short the trip.

Overall the trip was one of those least enjoyable one. But it was great to meet up with Singkies at Kawaii bar, hopped bars and of course good nights with my MILF. Kawaii bar will be my second home......

On departure booked a taxi to go airport, 900 bahts. They also does pick up, but need to arrange via e mail. Seriously, I will take this option from now. Book taxi to pick me up from airport and head for Soi6. BTW, the taxi meter only registered 900+ bahts from Soi 6 to airport.

Must thank Bro kawaii for taking good care of me and all those who were there.

Sometimes you just have to follow your instinct when things don't feel right.

No worries, when you are ready again, LOS will be waiting for you :D

Thank you Bro, think I did the right thing to be back home...... some of the signs were, ATM card got eaten by ATM, car key left in the car lock, room key left in the room, saw a fatal accident, etc, even on the way to airport, taxi driver dozed off, and was like going for an head on collision with the back of the car in front......... some how survived all these, may be the borrowed aura of concerned friends and bro like like you....:)

Not pushing my luck too far, and like you said, LoS will always be there and waiting;)
