AFA just check on you whether you had contact std or HIV . it does not give u medication izzit. so if i went to AFA to check up on sat n test positive. i need to go to dsc on monday to do a check n get medication?

Bro,AFA only provides SY/HIV anon test,no treatment.

For your case ,go see DSC or private specialist clinic.

Can be cure by antibiotics and jab....don delay...your kuku jiao will suffer....

I think you better go DSC,Check everything.Play safe...make sure no complications....

AFA provides Anonymous HIV testing on Tuesday, Weds and Sat.
On Sat also got Syphilis testing.
If you want to check for other things, have to go to DSC

What will be the total cost for both Syphilis and HIV?

Will the results be out on the same day? (i understand HIV is 10 mins, what about Syphilis?)

the results out in 20-30 mins. cost $30 for HIV and syphilis, $20 for just HIV

I've never had sex before and ended up doing it with a friend but with condom on. Halfway through the act (no touching her vagina etc, no painting her) after entering her 4-5 times, I just had some second thoughts about the entire thing and left it as it is. As it turns out after almost 5 months (my exposure was back in September 07') I developed 3 peculiar asymptomatic bumps just behind the head of my penis. I went to DSC today, and according to the doc he can't make the heads or tails of it :p. Even then he took a culture sample and made me go for a blood test for herpes, no meds prescribed (as yet).

Now my question is that should I go for a HIV test as well?

You had a condom on, so the risk level is pretty low.
But it's always good to know and be absolutely sure.

U have not had any other sexual encounter since Sep 2007 ? Cause it may be from other partners and not your friend.

Any idea, how long does it take to do a HIV test at AFA. From going in to register, counseling and to getting the result. How long will it takes?

I've heard that's a lot of people waiting to be screen. I don't want to stay there too long. Will I get my turn since their operation time is only 1.5hrs on Tues and Weds?

usually weekdays don't have as much ppl as weekends.
if you want to get it done quickly. don't come too early, don't come too late. meaning, try and be there in the middle, like say 7.15PM on weekdays.
The whole thing won't take you more than 30 minutes, plus registering and waiting time.
