Yes, definitely feels hollow. How I can cope, depends on your schedule and ability to look after a pet. Having a pet helps. I had a dog. I worked from home last time so pretty much not an issue for time to take care of the dog.

Actually Im pretty cool with that. Guess I am used to being alone.

The hollow feeling will definitely require companionship.

Your choices, if you do not want a partner, you can seek a room mate. Just having someone there makes a lot of difference.

Yup. Still considering whether to rent out the empty room boh. My place do not have Air Con. So probably have to install one.

Coming from a person who is married with kids, having a wife and kids around you all the time does not mean you will not feel lonely either.

With a family comes great responsibilities. From taking care of their current needs, I also have to plan for their future. So, a lot of time is spent planning and saving. Because of this, you will also lose contact with close friends.

That's why I am also scared of retiring. Stay at home and rot.

sometimes who we need is not a partner but the warmth of family.

If either the guy or girl still cannot stop playing outside with different people then the hollow part is best filled by family members cos family will not restrict your play but your partner will.

Until stable and wish to stop playing then can look for partner

Just to share my few cents on Staying alone ...

Pro:- You can do what you want in your home.

Con:- Feel the loneliness whenever alone @ home facing the 4 walls & watch tv.

I think the worst feeling would be living in a family yet feel alone.
Being alone and being lonely is very different.

Staying together requires lots of synergy. Thats why I prefer not to stay w my family (sure got conflicts). Seeing them once a week might be best for everyone.

When one doesn’t think like normal people it’s very hard to expect friends or family to understand you. If you are the “odd one out” it’s your responsibility to express why you think the way you do. When people understand you, you feel less lonely. I know it’s not easy. There is always a choice to fuck it or make it right.

When you are used to being responsible and suddenly stripped off all them, you'll feel very lost.

We are all here for a very short time. When time is up, all of us will be reduced to ashes. It does not matter how powerful or rich you are.

Dunn be too hard on yourself. Learn to live a fruitful life. Sometimes thing might not works out, just let it go.
