Atmosphere CM2 is more like a chill out place and Bossy is more of clubbing.. Personally i will prefer CM2 coz i can take my time to look out for SYT. haha and beware of the WL in Bossy.. the service dam cannot make it and overquoted themselves. if you are getting any of them make sure you bargain with them since it's Thailand after all!:D |

Major Ratchayothin
Bros staying around the Rachada area might want to check out Major Ratchayothin (taxi around Bht80) area as a place to bring your tilak for a date or just to hang out and chill with your friends. Local area with plenty of eye candy.
Went to a local restaurant called Mehang (sorry no tel number or addy) last night. Its not a grotty "kopitiam" style restaurant so I think prices reasonable (big bottle Heiny Bht130) & food delicious with a live band playing Thai covers. Take the outdoor sitting overlooking the night market below. They also have 4 KTV rooms in the main dining hall where u can eat & sing but no hanky-panky coz its a glass wall on one side. After dinner can watch movie, go bowling or do a bit of shopping (tip: clothing vendors on the roadside are cheaper than the market). There are a couple of Thai eating places across the street too. Will check those out the next time. |

I actually got my airfare $209 on Cathay Pacific. Best deal ever for a commercial airline to Bangkok i ever got. |

In any case, if you're planning for a trip well in advance, Tiger is almost always guaranteed to have the lowest fares. If you're trying to slot in a last minute getaway, though, check out the usual portals (Zuji is a good bet) - sometimes full-frills commercial airlines offer it even cheaper. They seem to go in opposite directions - budget airlines sell tickets really cheap in advance in a bid to fill up seats (their business model is always volume), then nearer the date, as people become more desperate, they jack up their prices to take advantage of the economic law of price discrimination. Full-fledged commercials, on the other hand, focus on margins, so they always price theirs based on the full fare first, and nearer the date tend to compromise by dialing down their prices. When the prices converge, it's a joy to watch. :) |
