Their bus will go to Pattaya North station where they will transfer you to a minivan to get you to your hotel, well at least the beginning of the soi (paak soi) that is located in. Do note that from 29th to 30th November, Beach Road from Pattaya North Road to Walking Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic for the Fireworks Festival.

if you ask , they will charge you at least 200B. Wave and if he stops , just go up the back of the bahtbus. Better and safer to take the Songtows at the bus station that only leaves when its full.

Very strange package. Its like coming to Singapore and having a pickup service to Marina area when your hotel is in Orchard road. I think you better double check your package. If it is still so , ditch their bus service and take the Bell service as CP Boy said.

Guess u purchased a free and easy package but most free and easy will at least pick u up from airport n send u straight to your hotel.

Anyway it is easy to travel around Pattaya. Donkey yrs ago, my first virgin trip there, bought a ticket from BKK south bus station. Once reached Pattaya bus station, hopped on to a bike n the rest was history. If memory dun fail me, I paid 50thb, no nego. Those days walking street was cheap n good.... :eek:

Also I remember I wanted to go Jomtien... Went up to a empty songteaw, agreed on 100thb and the whole songteaw belonged to me. Now I dunno how much.. Take 100thb as a guide. :D

Last time when the drivers were more honest and hardworking & when thais paid only 5B ; I would sometimes get change of 15B when I gave a 20B note! Just keep your mouth shut and they will thnk sg Chinese bros are thais. ;)

Usually I alight and cut thru to Mike coz its faster than waiting for the Bahtbus to U-turn at Walking street. However this time I just sat there and relaxed till he rounded WS and was near Soi Diana. I alighted and gave him 10b but the fucker wanted 20! I argued with him but gave in after 10secs when I realized it was only Sing$0.40 extra! I just stopped arguing and said Happy New Year (It was around Songkran time) and smiled at him. He also dropped his aggressive stance and started laughing!

Yes, now they want 20b for this distance. I kena months ago from Soi 6 to WS, 20b.

that's illegal! Some think that when they raised the local fare to 10B , that the tourist fare was also doubled! It should be 10B per ride per person

Highly unlikely if its a songteaw on it's regular route they will do that unless it's "off duty" and sure will pounce on the opportunity to chop fresh tourist head. Better ask coz some may turn into 3rd Road. Songteaw in bus station will charge Bht30 for Beach Road Soi 11... after last week nonsense from those assholes, next time I'm taking songteaw from main road.

Hmmm... I paid Bht100 for motorcy take me from Chayapruek Road at Jomtien to Jomtien Na. Made the motorcy wait about an hour for me and take me back to Central Pattaya. I never bargained coz thot $4 only dun bother too much.

Again depends... couple months ago with another bro and he booked songteaw from 2nd Road all the way back to Jomtien plus a motorcy loaded into the back for Bht200.

555+ looks like many different stories. Last week took songteaw all the way from junction of Pattaya Klang/Soi Buakow back to Soi 6 (2nd Road) for Bht10.

Maybe its a good idea to keep lots of coins. When alight just pay the driver Bht10. If he KPKB then throw another Bht10 to him. If not just coolly walk away. So far have not been overcharged yet. :D
