I have never been to Soi 6 before despite going to Pattaya many times so bro Milk Man recommended us to try the place while he go off shopping with his agogo teerak. So P and I quickly surf the forums to gather some information about the place during lunch. we noted down some bars in soi 6 that were recommended in the forums with good reviews. we shortlisted 3 bars as must visit because of the reviews. namely nightwish bar, quirky bar and ruby bar.

hop onto the baht bus and found our way there. we took our time to stroll along the street and enter the 3 bars we shortlisted. 1st was nightwish bar and we notice all the other customers were ang mos. except for the waitress who took our order no one else bothered to communicate with us. the bargirls were only interested in LDs, barfine and go upstairs for short time. when we declined to barfine we were ignored. same thing happened when we went to quirky bar and ruby bar.

P and I decided to grab some makan after the disappointment and plan our next move. while waiting for our food at the pushcart hawker, there were some bargirls also ordering food so P talked to them in his thailand slang. we decide to follow the bargirls back to their bar since got chemistry with them. their bar is called red bar. this bar was different from the earlier bars we went to. the customers were a mix of ang mos, indians, chinese. the mamasan also worked in orchard towers and golden mile previously so we have many things to talk. when we tell her our earlier experience in the other bars... she explain because the other bars are ang mo owners and they post in the forums to promote their bars to their own countrymen and also tell their bargirls to give priority to the ang mos customers. she says in soi 6 there are 2 types of bars.... one for ang mos and one for others.

The ang mos don't like others to go to "their bars" and they also do not like to enter the bars for "others". P and I went back to look at the forums and true enough the bars mentioned in them are mostly the ang mo bars... there was few or no mention of the other bars.

What was particularly annoying was P was negotiating with an angpai bargirl in nightwish to go upstairs for short time. she wanted barfine 350 baht + 1200 baht which we knew was not the going rate as we had read the forum. the rate should be barfine 300 baht + 700 baht for the bargirl. an ang mo guy just walk into the bar and asked "who is ning?" the mamasan ask why and he says he want to take her for short time. so mamasan tell the bargirl that P was negotiating with to go with the ang mo. :(

As for the soi buakhao incident.... P, Milkman and myself were jalan jalan to soi buakhao to visit the market there. actually it is just like a pasar malam in singapore so we were boring and decide to find some makan. but we did not want to eat at the restaurants and wanted local thai food. P remember there was a zichar place nearby so we proceed there. it is a wooden hut built on a vacant land just off soi buakhao and the zichar stall is operate by a milf thai woman with her teenage son helping to serve. wooden tables were laid out in the vacant land and we will just grab anything to sit on. improvised seats include pails and containers turned upside down. :D

we placed our orders with the lady and took a table in front of the drinks stall next to the zichar stall. this place is popular with the cheap charlie ang mos staying in the budget places around soi buakhao as the food is very cheap. as we waited for our food, some of these ang mos started arriving on their bicycles and motorcycles and ordering with the lady. as many of them can speak thai with the lady we know they are laojiaos in Pattaya. and they seem to know each other. as the zichar stall has only the lady owner doing the cooking... we were pissed that she will cook the ang mos orders first even though they came after us. when you order zichar dishes you would expect all your dishes to come at the same time right? not at this stall... our fried noodles and veggies came first but our other dishes took a long time coming and it came one by one with a long interval in between each dish. and we noticed the ang mos were eating all their dishes at the same time.

We can only conclude that the ang mos have priority in minds of the thais in this area and the rest of us are perceived as inferior to the ang mos. :mad:

The cheap charlie way to Pattaya from Don Mueng airport.

As I am arrived late to Don Mueng, my buddy proceed to pattaya first by tongpang with a couple of samsters in their taxi (bros Milkman & Ground Eagle). I arrive the following day and as I have lots of time I decide to try the budget way to get to pattaya.

Coming out from the airport terminal, I walk to the bus stop infront of the terminal about 50m away. I did not have to wait long as aircon bus no. 29 came within a minute. boarded the bus and told the conductress going to mochit bts (pay 16 baht). 25 mins later arrive at the bts busstop, very convenient as the bts stairs is right next to the busstop. proceed to the bts-sukhumvit line and bought the ticket to victory monument station (25 baht) 4 stops away. less than 10 mins to reach victory monument station including waiting time. :D

Exit the bts and pause to decide whether to go with the ang mo tourist vans at the E-Academy venue or go with the locals transport vans at victory plaza. decided to go with the local transport van as I was already on victory plaza side and did not want to cross to the other side. went down the plaza to the side lane and bought the ticket for the van to pattaya (100 baht - actually is 97 baht but did not bother to take the 3 baht change). here the vans leave every 20 minutes. and make sure you ask the destination as there are many kiosks selling tickets to different destinations. there is only 1 kiosk for pattaya but the signage is in thai language. took my ticket and look for the van number written on the ticket. found the van and the driver was loading some boxes into the rear. he says van leave in 3 mins and to take my seat inside. choose my seat and enjoy the aircon and thai music. I counted 9 pax including myself and all were thais except me. :p

Soon we were on our way and the driver took the tollway. he did not go very fast averaging 80 kph but we reach pattaya outskirt in about 70 mins. after topping up petrol we proceed into pattaya town dropping off the passengers along the way until I am the last to remain.the driver ask me where I want to go I told him walking street.... he stop at south pattaya and then said "here finished, you walk to walking street - road closed". Anyway as I alighted, I spotted my buddy at the friendship supermart.

Total fare paid = 16 + 25 + 100 = 141 baht
Time taken = 25 + 10 + 70 + 20 = 125 minutes :p

That's cheap and a normal taxi takes about that travelling time to Patts too. :p

Soi6 more like a F & Go place. A Singapore bro staying in patts frequent O2 bar. There are some young gals there and the mamasan Perry is friendly. 300+700 rate still apply there.

I had Ning back when she was with DD a few years back. It was 3500 overnight all in, which is still the current rate for DD gals.

A hardworker and a performer to most, but her bed skills wasn't good enough for me to class her as a porn star performer. I confirm won't pay her 1200 ST. NW ST BF is 350, I recall skybar and pussy club to be the same.

Bro RF2013, I've been to Soi 6 many times alone or with friends but didn't really feel any racial prejudice towards me being an Asian. Personally I've never been to the bars you mentioned so cannot comment.

IMHO Soi 6 in the past was mostly frequented by farangs but now-a-days more Asians (besides the Japs) are coming. Girls at Soi 6 I would say 80-90% CMI but there are gems if u have time to find. Its a great place to visit if you happen to feel horny at 2pm.

Some Soi 6 working girls did tell me given a choice they would choose an Asian customer over a farang. Asians being more polite & considerate, some say dick size also just nice, with the exception of the Koreans who can b rough with MCP attitudes. Farangs stink, like to fuck assholes, slap their asses when fucking or worst fuck and not pay! :eek:

My MO when visiting Soi 6 is just walk down the soi no need Google internet. Girls will be calling out to you. See one you like, pop in and order a drink. If no chemistry politely thank her and continue hunting. Maybe you took too long to decide? The bars being small they need fast turnover also maybe its their peak busy period? Ning also had a pre-booking so she was juz trying to turn down your biz? Lets face it, its all about money so some veterans can get too mercenary, very "un-Thai".

Unfortuante though about the zhi char stall. I would have stopped eating and walk away.

Get on the songteaw (aka baht bus) at central Pattaya end of Soi Buakhao, along the Soi, and out on to Pattaya Tai, about 10mins to get from one end to the other.

The return trip was by taxi. as the Milkman had left a day earlier and G Eagle + mr.P both wanted to go to hway kuang in bangkok, we booked a taxi from mr. T. me and my buddy carry on to Don Mueng after dropping G Eagle and mr. P somewhere in Bangkok along the way. the whole journey from our pickup point in south pattaya to don muang airport was about 3 hours. our driver was a young man who I think has been partying the whole night because he kept nodding off along the tollway. and he was super slow too going between 50 - 70 kph only. and we encounter heavy traffic for the Bangkok to don muang part of the journey. Finally reach the airport and pay the driver 1200 baht as agreed with mr. T... but the driver wanted another 110 baht for the toll fees. told him no such thing as we agreed price with mr. T at 1200 baht all in. He then asked for tips. did not want to argue anymore with him so gave him 100 baht extra.

Total fare = 1200 + 100 = 1300 baht
Time taken for trip = 3 hours.

Yes, all lanes in Thailand are bus lane. When the bus speed or changing lane, all cars must let it goes thru. :eek:

ya...i m not a fan of soi6. usually juz go look see. farang infested. even some some bars at simon beerbars r the same.

but that said.. u can still find gems there cos i hv seen a few. for me... sticking to WS and look for 2k LT :D

Problem is in Bangkok its so jammed up; bus lanes also doesn't make any diff!:D

Are you talking about a bus trip to/from Patts to Survanahbhumi? Your bus must be super fly!!! Usually bus from Bangkok to Patts about 1.5 or 2 hours (about the same from Survanahbhumi) provided you dun get the bus that makes like 100 stops along the way! I once made a taxi trip from Patts to airport in 45 minutes! Of course it was 5am in the morning.

In BKK taxis usually faster unless u are stuck in Ladphrao, Sukhumvit, Siam Square, Yaowarat etc... areas where both inch their way at the same speed! Motorcy is always the fastest but dangerous!
