haha nice one.....did I use the wrong choice of word? should I say protest instead of riot? really I think LOS imposing some entrance to Thailand leh. I read it somewhere. the reason is to better differentiate the visitors to Thailand, they don't want any tom dick harry to go there anytime.

Seen about 1 hour ago. Thousands of black shirts, the dirty ops, marching down Rama 1 road in front of Siam Square.

I think they are heading towards the Parliament Building. There are no riots yet in Bangkok most probably will not have. Travel as per normal just avoid protest areas.

Saw this FB post on my newsfeed a few nights ago. Thammakai is at the Rangsit area, northern Bangkok.

Like I said before....its ok to still come to BKK and party or shop...just tat there are some inconvenience now with traffic jams and all....

BUT...DUN BE A COCK and go near the protest sites or into the crowds....the mobs will no protest in ur MP/Shopping Centre or Clubs....so use ur BIG head to think while letting ur SMALL head shiok....

Majority of Thais in Thailand are chinese... u better dun go BKK during CNY. They are all back to province. Those remain behind are either foreigners or those Thais celebrating Hari Raya or Devapali :rolleyes:

PP is make up of mostly Muslim so dun come during hari raya... CNY will be fine but here dun give hong bao but instead they will help u pa pao. :D

Suggest you do some search with khun google to know Thai people is mainly chinese or thai.....and do they celebrate cny or their thai new year aka water festival (songkran). Sometime asking such simple question in this forum will give you khun google or khun prof or khun indian or khun happy reply.....just check and see which answer u prefer :eek:

Yeah..... many places are closed and in those that remained open the staff keep asking for angpaos. But there is no shortage of mobile casinos as many spring up around the city during this time...... I recall spending almost my entire CNY trip to BKK in these casinos :D ..... because there simply is nothing else to do there. :)

5555....Buay Tahan......Prof like tat also can ah?? Did u know tat during CNY go clubbing if they know u chinese u have to give Mandatory Ang Pao also at MPs or Clubs?? So yeah...BETTER dun come BKK during CNY....5555:D
