An update on my situation.... For those who remember reading about my gf in BKK who runs a couple of shops and I suspected that she worked in a soapy. It turned out that my suspicion was correct as verified by 2 of my Thai friends.

Thanks to all Bros for your warm and frank responses. I initially thought that I should juz "play along". After "playing along", I realise that feelings develop.

I guess after considering Bros advice, I would take a few steps back and assess the situation.... or maybe get a new lady to forget this current one.

One of my Thai friends hit the nail on the head by saying that even if I marry her, and since I do not stay in BKK permanently, there is a very high chance that she would get involved with another local Thai man. I guess there is much wisdom in everyone's words. Except that for me, as I am the involved party, my wisdom drops to nil.

That is the problem when u play along. You will eventually fall in love. If you choose another to forget this one make sure its not another FL or the whole dilemma starts again.

So you not planning to move to Thailand or ask her come stay with you? How is that going to work out? Cannot be long distance anymore if both of you eventually choose to settle down with each other.

If you think she truly feels the same about you, you shouldn't worry about her finding solace on the arms of another man. Woman do so when they feel neglected and unloved.

Condo in outskirt of Bkk with utilities about 8k-/+ bht per month, depends on how big the condo and how many people residing in it.
