IMO, one doesn't need a teacher to learn how to speak Thai, unless he intend read and write, otherwise, mixing around with SYTs, or Thai friends will able you to pick up a decent Thai language.

Learning from teacher is good, but in normal days communication between thai friends doesn't use the formal way, which a teacher that have teached you.

I learned my Thai language thru my gf, friends and watching larkons. I don't dare to say I'm fluent, but able to communicate with a stranger quite decent. Living in Thailand if one doesn't know how to speak Thai when he go market is a disaster. :p

I can't go market without my Thai gf. Lol. I can speak Thai but it seems so hard for me to remember the food names and all. :p

Touch down BKK late afternoon for meeting and headed to CAESARS after dinner around 10pm.
Strange, not many customers seen when I stepped in. Afraid that many Japanese would be there due to Jap holidays.
Counted 11 WL.
Picked A2 (Jeng) as she had the best smile among the lot.
THB3200 for her.
Skip the details, but basically she has small headlamps, nice ass, average skin tone for a Thai, nice smile, good service attitude and tries to cultivate GFE.
Bros can support her; she's worth it.
She's from Chang Rai.
Gonna miss her as am flying off soon. :(

When I used the language often enuff it will be part of me. Those that I cannot remembered are those that I hardly used.

There is a very good book with cd (as follow) which i find very useful, and my thai teacher in C.C is also using it as her teaching material.
Can find in major bookstore in bkk.

I will be going to Bangkok for a company event in October, I'm looking for a romantic place for a special dinner with a female colleague, whom I'm interested in. Any recommendations?

I'm did some research and find Baiyoke Sky's Bangkok Balcony like not bad, how you guys rate it?

Cost not an issue, I'm willing to spend for that night but it got to be on a weekday.

There're quite a few options. U can bring her for a chao phara river dinner cruise. Plenty to choose fr. Choose one that has ala carte rather than buffet. There is one cruise not bad..small capacity but i cannot rem name. After tt... Can go to one of those open air top of botel bars for a drink which is near where the boat dock. Btw..the cruise booking inckude a pick up fr hotel.
